Authentic "Free Hand" reconditioning of fine Japanese, Korean & German Shears. My philosophy is simple Maintain and restore the factory settings that your shears were originally manufactured with. Hand reconditioned on Japanese Water Stones. Nothing more, nothing less.
I charge $25.00 for all brand Shears. Each Shear takes between 20-25 minutes to Recondition, Triple Honed on Japanese Water Stones, (final Honing with diamond spray for that buttery feel when closing the shear) Clean, Balance, Lubricate (Shearwise Camellia Oil) and Test.
Camellia oil has been recommended as the ultimate lubricant for Swords and hair shears in Japan for centuries and most of the Japan scissor companies use the camellia oil for a lubricant! In almost all the Chinese scissor factories, you will see them regularly oiling their hair scissors with a regular oil combined with Camellia oil. The regular oil and camellia oil have totally different physical features.
